Feedback from the Broadchurch exhibition.

Two weeks on from our Broadchurch exhibition in West Bay and we are finally tying up the loose ends – sending out the last orders from the show and then making the payments to the exhibitors who sold work during the show.  The successful exhibitors will be contacted over the next week or so and the commission payments will be made.

We really can’t thank everyone enough who came along and made the event such a success.

The opening was great fun and blessed with beautiful sunshine and well attended. We would also like to thank the screen writer of Broadchurch Chris Chibnall who officially opened the show to the public.

A personal thank you goes to Sam Rose, Andy White and Nathalie Roberts for giving their time so generously as fellow gallerists helping to sell and wrap and chatting to the buying public over the long Bank Holiday weekend and helping to pack away. A special thank you to Paula Youens for her invaluable patience, good humour and hard work. This was rewarded with wonderful compliments and happy people taking her work home. Also to Stephen Banks for explaining his work and procedure after an engaging talk by John Wolkersien of the Jurrasic Coast Trust. The talks complimented each other perfectly, John set the scene for where we are in the history of time and Stephen spoke about his trials to capture the beauty of that evolution.

The Jurassic Art Trail was of great interest and also made BBC News.

It remains installed around West bay until Monday evening this week if you wish to go along and see the work by Bob Healey, Ollie Taylor, Stephen Banks, Nathalie Roberts,  Rob Nolan, Pete Hackett, Andy White and Sam Rose. We learnt that the World Heritage status bestowed upon the Jurassic Coast is run and funded mainly by good will and volunteers. The project has been so well received we hope to extend the exhibition along the Jurassic Coast in the coming months and to continue to liaise and work with the trust beyond West Bay.

Sales were really strong with many orders online too so please keep your profiles up to date with new work and welcome to newly signed up Hannah Trim, Hannah Simpson, Catherine Gillingham and Hayley Roberts.

Chelsea and Ben.
