Hi I`m Liz and I now live in Bridport, Dorset. For the last twenty years or so I have dabbled in creative art activities, such as stencilling, glass painting and jewellery making. I recently returned to the UK after living abroad for 13 years, the last 9 years of which were spent in Gran Canaria. It was there that I began experimenting with digital photography, using special effects to create colourful, abstract, and, hopefully, engaging, images. My subject matter is nature, and, in particular the...

Much of my photography is local, but I travel each year to Scotland, usually taking photographs on the islands off the West Coast. My favourite Scottish location is the Isle of Mull, which is a regular destination.

So here's a little bit about myself...I am a Hereford lass who had the luck of growing up in the stunning golden valley until moving down to Somerset and spending 18 yrs there, i now reside in the gorgeous Forest of Dean.

I have always loved looking at and taking photos from as long as i can remember but my knowledge has only begun expanding in the last 15yrs or so. I am self taught but learn more each time i take a photo and from the work of others.

There is rarely a week that...

My photographs are my interpretation of the landscape; how I see it and what it means to me. To me the sky is just as important as the ground or sea beneath, and why I often include so much of it, for this is where light comes from. And the shadows this light casts are what give the landscape its shape, form and texture. This combination of light and shadow, is what gives my photographs, their ability to invoke, I hope, an emotion within you. It's not important whether that emotion is the same...

I am a photographer based in Lyme Regis, West Dorset.

I've always had a passion for photography and in 2012 I undertook a 365 challenge by taking and publishing at least one photograph every day. Taking photos every day meant that I really began to understand my camera more and helped me look at the world in a different way.

I love taking photos of people and photograph a lot of weddings both locally and further afield. Follow me on facebook, twitter and instagram to keep up with my...

Tom Hard

My name is Tom Hard and I am a photographer local to Horsham in West Sussex in the UK. I studied photography at A Level and spent 3 years working at a high quality photo lab, developing and printing photos. We did colour and density adjustments to every photo which gave me a good eye for composition and colour. I've recently got back into photography and was lucky enough to win first prize in the Royal Horticultural Society 2012 annual photography competition in the 'plant portrait'...

Blending technical with the creative is how I approach photography.  Usually it is a case of capturing things as they are, but trying to show a different perspective and creating interest - lines leading you through the image; texture felt through light; focusing on the seemingly inconsequential - all with minimal post processing.

The result? A world documented through my eyes - the towns and events, her people and places.

Chelsea Davine

Chelsea Davine's photographs have often played second fiddle to her painting. However the body of work she has built up from her travels and eye for sculptural elements prove that they are much more than visual sketches for her work. Her focus on composing a balanced image through the view finder without staging, using natural light, trying to capture a candid moment, detail or sculptural form, resisting the temptation to photoshop, speak from a age where if you had just one amazing image on...

I went to Hull college of Art in the 70's and attained a BA (Hons) in Fine Art, a fantastic education.

Since then I have been self employed and travelled the world with my job. However I have never stopped being an Artist and have always taken photographs.

So I would say I am an Artist/Photographer/Carpenter.
I began taking photos to record ideas for projects that in the end were never achieved, so the photos became the 'work'.

In the pre-digital days I exhibited and sold...

Joshua Morris

Hi, I'm Josh.  I am far from a professional photographer as I dont look to make a living from taking pictures.  What I feel is special about photography is that more often than not its luck to get that special shot.  You can go out and search for beauty or something interesting, but you need a coming together of different elements to get the best shots.

If you know what you are looking for, then you can get it.
